Who can use Clinical Aromatherapy
Pregnancy and Aromatherapy
Q. Can someone who is pregnant use Clinical Aromatherapy?
A. Yes. However, for the first trimester she must completely abstain from using any Essential Oils whatsoever. However, during this time, super-nutrient oils and carrier oils can be very helpful to maintain elasticity on her belly and also to help with pregnancy massage which can alleviate water retention and other such stress and discomforts. After the first trimester, there are specific essential oils ONLY which are recommended for pregnancy, which you will want to consult your Clinical Aromatherapist about. These essential oils can be wonderful for helping with concerns during pregnancy and can be very supportive. They can even guide your pregnancy journey spiritually even on the delivery day. `
Q. If I am using Aromatherapy products and become pregnant, what do I do?
A. Stop using your products right away and let your Clinical Aromatherapist know. Try not to worry as there probably will not have been any harm done at this point. Stress does more harm than good during pregnancy.
Children/Infants and Aromatherapy
Q. Can Clinical Aromatherapy be used on my kids?
A. Yes it can. NOTE: The same products that would be made for an adult can NOT be used on a child. This is one reason why I ask for you to please not share your custom products. As the age ranges change of the child, so does the formulations of the Essential oils and what is considered safe for them.
Elderly and Aromatherapy
Q. If I am caring for a loved one in Hospice, can I have a Clinical Aromatherapy product made for them?
A. Yes. This is a wonderful, uplifting experience for a loved one in Hospice. There have been many studies where it is proven that Aromatherapy used in hospice environments will many times raise spirits in end-of-life care. "Quality of life" is so important on this part of the path that we walk in our lives.
Q. Can my relative, in a nursing home, use Aromatherapy products?
A. Yes. There are formulations that are taken into account with elderly just as there are with pregnancy and with small children. The power of smell is an incredibly powerful healing element for those that are in a home. Might I also add, that the power of touch can do wonders for these loved ones who are in a nursing home. They are mostly in the home and not touched by their loved ones as often as they once were. Sometimes, something as simple as applying a lotion to their hands with a pleasing scent can uplift their spirits. Spiritual support in our lives is vital to our over all health.
Pets and Aromatherapy
Q. Can I use Aromatherapy on my pets?
A. Some pets can use Clinical Aromatherapy, however, it depends on the animal. There are other forms of oils which are created in the process of creating essential oils that are much safer for your pets. If you are interested in creating products for your pets, I can assist with formulating blends for them that are safe. You will always want to consult a certified Aromatherapist when treating pets with Essential Oils. Some examples of treatments for pets might be for things like; gingivitis, coat and skin care, cuts, scratches and bites, kitty odor, ear infections, paw problems, shampoos and so on....
